What is VelaShape?
VelaShape is a non-invasive cellulite and circumferential reduction treatment that uses a device that combines bipolar radio-frequencies, infrared light, suction, and mechanical massage to tighten the skin and diminish the appearance of cellulite.
How VelaShape Works
The VelaShape instrument’s technology consists of many moving parts, including radio-frequency, infrared light, vacuum suction, and mechanical massage. The radio-frequencies and infrared light heat the dermal and hypodermal tissue in the targeted area with precision. These stimulants boost the metabolism of fat cells and diminish their number, in turn, reducing cellulite. The massage rollers gently knead the targeted area to increases circulation, encourage lymph drainage, and reduce fat-cell byproducts and toxins. Lastly, the suction of the vacuum smooths out dimples by stretching fibrous bands in the topmost layer of skin, further reducing the appearance of cellulite.
The VelaShape Treatment
While you lie down for your treatment, your aesthetician will lubricate the treatment area and apply the VelaShape device to the area being treated. The device gives a massaging sensation that begins to get warmer. There is also slight pressure, much like a deep tissue massage. After the treatment, you may feel slightly tender for a few hours and mild bruising or redness may appear but should go away a few days after treatment. For best results, it is recommended to recieve at least three treatments, each within two weeks apart.
